I value moments of deep connection, of pure synchronicity to the self, to the music, and to the community while in movement. I dance for those moments that can never be replicated because they are so present and full of life.

As a dancer, writer, and theatre artist, I am interested in art as a catalyst for social change. My political activism and my creative practice are one and the same. I believe that dance has the power to empower and heal communities, establish cross-cultural and intergenerational connection, and lay the foundation for the world we are constantly creating.

I am a freestyle dancer who pulls from Locking, Hip Hop, Waacking, and House, and I create work within these forms that makes space for women to tell their stories. I infuse my Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Flamenco training into my freestyle practice to create movement that is unique and intriguing. With a dense background in various technical forms and experiences, I spend as much time on the concert stage as I do battling at the jams within my community.

Phoenix, Arizona is my birthplace, and I find my home within the cypher, within the circular structure of exchange and risk and joy.  I teach dance to youth, I write about dance, and I work in the non-profit sector to bring dance to diverse communities of people. I believe in dance as a birthright, and my work opens up the spaces to allow for that birthright to be exercised with unapologetic strength, liberation, and joy.
